This course will provide nurses with a basic understanding of the complexity of Lyme disease.
Attendees will learn how Borrelia burgdorferi, the agent of Lyme disease, is transmitted to
humans and the potential effects it may have on patients; other tick-borne diseases will also be
discussed. Treatment strategies will be reviewed. This course will be appropriate for RNs, LPNs,
medical assistants, and other allied health professionals.
