Doctor of Nursing: A Panel Discussion

When: December 4, 2008
Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm Buffet Dinner
            6:39pm - 8:00pm Panel

Purpose: This presentation will present trends in advanced practice nursing practice and education. An overivew of advanced practice nursing (APRN) and current APRN educational innovations will be described. Information regarding the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) role will be presented.

Objectives:
At the completion of this conference the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the importance of DNPs for the advancement of Nursing in Minnesota
  • Discuss potential role(s) of Doctor of Nursing Practice graduates within the current health care system.
  • Compare 3 Doctors of Nursing Practice programs

Presenting Panel: Sally Fauchald, PhD, RN; Alice Swan, D.N.Sc, RN; Sandra Edwardson, PhD, RN
