3rd District Nurses Entry Level Scholarship

This 3rd District Nurses Scholarship is designed to make getting an associate and/or baccalaureate degree in nursing more feasible. In addition, by bringing more nurses into our District, we can better achieve the vision and goals of the Association--to support nurses in Anoka, Carver, Hennepin and Scott counties. One, $500 scholarship available each year. Criteria: Applicant must be accepted into an NLN-accredited program and a resident of Anoka, Carver, Hennepin or Scott county. Preference will be given to those with a current Minnesota Student Nurses Association membership. Deadline for Application: April 1st for each year’s scholarship
3rd District Nurses Leadership Scholarship

The 3rd District Nurses Scholarship is designed to make getting a baccalaureate degree in nursing more feasible for 3rd District Members. In addition, by bringing more nursing leaders into our District, we can better achieve the vision and the goals of the Association—to support nurses in Anoka, Carver, Hennepin and Scott counties. One, $500 scholarship available each year. Applicant must be a current member of 3rd District Nurses. Criteria: Applicants need to be enrolled in an NLN-accredited baccalaureate nursing program. Preference is given to applicants who have been involved in the Association, especially at 3rd District. Deadline for Application: April 1st for each year’s scholarship.
Raye Kreevoy Scholarship
To access an application for the Raye Kreevoy Scholarship, click here. Raye Kreevoy was an active member of 3rd District Nurses—especially when it came to our Gerontology Interest Group. The Raye Kreevoy Scholarship is funded by donations that are matched by the Kreevoy Family. Criteria: Applicants must be currently pursuing baccalaureate or advanced education as a professional nurse and be a member of 3rd District Nurses or the Minnesota Student Nurses’ Association (MSNA). Preference will be given to those applicants who are committed to working with gerontologic or homeless clients. The number of scholarships awarded depends on available funds. Each scholarship is a minimum of $1,000. Deadline for Application: April 1st for each year’s scholarship.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Scholarship
To access an application to the APRN Scholarship, click here. Nurse Practitioners are a valuable component of the health care delivery system. Nurses preparing for advanced practice certification need to complete additional training of one to two years and take a certification exam. Criteria: Applicants must currently be enrolled in an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse educational program that provides certification. Preference is given to applicants who have been involved in the Association, especially at 3rd District. Available scholarships are a minimum of $1,000. Applicant must be a current member of 3rd District Nurses. Deadline for Application: April 1st for each year’s scholarship
Applying is easy: - A scholarship application consists of the following:
- Completed application form
- Meeting all requirements as stated in the application form
- The 3rd District Nurses Awards Committee will review applications.
- The scholarship application deadline is April 1st.
- Scholarships will be presented at the 3rd District Nurses Annual National Nurses’ Banquet in May.
